And we're back

We switched venues to watch the evening games last night, and although we had a blast (and scott's game-viewing setup was impressive) it clearly negatively affected our blogging rate. Today, we'll be producing an epic level of quantity and quality to bring you the best we have to offer on this last day of the first glorious tourney weekend.

In the words of Lucas, Duke plays with a 6th man. The last call was questionable, but the previous call as Texas was securing a crucial rebound was absolutely atrocious. It's a call I expect out of Ed Hightower (in classic pose, above) or any NBA referree--yes, it was that bad. If Pitt shapes up and makes it through to an Elite 8 Matchup with Duke, the officiating will be a major concern. But first things first....

  1. Hightower, Higgins and Burr... just hang it up. No one likes you and believe it or not nobody showed up to watch you guys officiate.

Seriously, retire and move to Florida already.

  5. Welcome back. I was a little concerned with your output yesterday, but if you weren't at home that explains a lot. Bring the heat.

  6. PS classic pic of hightower. I'm surprised he hasn't busted out a 360 to call a block yet. He is the absolute worst ref in the history of the world.

  7. It's more "interpretive officiating" than it is actual officiating. I can't imagine his level of incompetence being acceptable in any other occupation.
