I would have to agree with you here, but for some reason this group of Purdue players don't bother me like they used to. I even went with them to knock off Uconn in the sweet 16. They have a lot of guys from Indiana so you have to support them a little... or do you?
I can't help but like them a little. Mostly because their best players should be Hoosiers only we had a dipshit coach followed by a cheating coach. And now we have an NAIA team. Sweet.
Ok, I get it. Hummel is annoying, but you gotta respect the game of Chris Kramer if you grew up in Indiana. He's like a bigger, better version of Brodie Garber.
Yes, Mike Santa (real name) got suited up as a tribute for all the hard work he had put in. They put him in with a minute to go in the big ten tourney loss to Penn State. He got the ball with 15 seconds left and made his move into the lane and threw up a wild shot that grazed the rim. He looked like a little boy out there, i think he is about 5'6".
We also suited up a baseball player who Crean randomly saw having a 3 point shooting contest with one of the players during off hours in Assembly Hall. The baseball player won and Crean asked him if he wanted to walk on.
